Best Eze Software Competitors
Are you considering Eze competitors?
A downside of Eze's product(s) is they're built from integrating multiple systems together. The synchronisation of transactions, positions, and cash between systems is expensive and risky. This syncing is further complicated by the fact that this investment data is state-dependent. For example, the Order Management System (Eze OMS) might have simulated orders. This is a different data view from the post-trade view in the Portfolio Administration (Eze PMA) tool.
In the tabs here are 6 competitors to Eze Software, especially the Eze OMS. Eze also offers a portfolio accounting and execution system, and we'll note which vendors compete with the full Eze Investment Suite.
Limina IMS
At Limina, we are a team of former investment managers. We have often been through system selections and know how challenging it can be. We hope that this list can be of good help to you.
Limina IMS is an investment management software that is often a solid alternative to Eze. If you’d like to explore Limina, we’ve created a video about who Limina is a good match for and an article about when Limina is not the best choice.
Bloomberg Asset and Investment Manager (AIM)
Bloomberg Asset and Investment Manager (AIM) is Bloomberg's Trade Order Management System (OMS). It covers the OMS part of an Investment Management Solution scope.
Bloomberg's solution suite ("buy side solutions") also includes portfolio management capabilities through its product Bloomberg PORT.
Bloomberg AIM comes with extensive market data coverage included through the Bloomberg terminal. The downside is that all users must have a terminal, even in operations.
Charles River Development (part of State Street)
Charles River Development's Investment Management Solution (CRIMS) is considered an enterprise grade platform. It has a broad functional set, focused on the Front Office with functionality within compliance, portfolio and order management.
Charles River (CRD) services asset managers and wealth managers and is since 2018 part of State Street, and a component of the State Street Alpha offering.
Enfusion
Enfusion's investment management platform is a broad offering, initially built for hedge funds. The solution includes accounting, investment operations and more recently tools for portfolio management.
Enfusion is viewed as a strong option for hedge funds looking to produce shadow NAV and fulfil requirements of Prime Brokers as well as institutional investors.
S&P Markit Thinkfolio
S&P's Thinkfolio (formerly IHS Markit Thinkfolio) is a Portfolio Management System (PMS), and also covers order management.
Thinkfolio aims to enhance portfolio visibility and improve decision-making processes. The software started in Fixed Income but now covers multiple asset classes.
Thinkfolio was acquired by Markit in 2014, and then Markit was, in turn, acquired by S&P in 2022.
SS&C Advent: APX, Moxy, Genesis, Geneva
Oddly enough, Eze has a competitor owned by the same parent: SS&C Advent with products APX, Moxy, Genesis and Geneva.
Advent has traditionally been more used by fund administrators and wealth managers. The offering overlap more today.
The Moxy product by Advent is an Order Management System (competing with Eze OMS), and APX/Geneva are admin/accounting systems (competing with Eze PMA).
Advent’s solutions, just like Eze, integrate to enable end-to-end workflows.
